Businesses (particularly small businesses) often need to spend considerable time and money on developing an asbestos removal method and having it validated by the VIP. In response, the VIP has made it easier to do this together with other parties. It has also prepared an animation to explain the validation process.
Joint validation
Businesses in the asbestos removal sector may find it advantageous to work together when developing an asbestos removal method and/or having it validated by the VIP. The VIP will make a contact list available to this end. This makes it easier for businesses to find each other and take the initiative to develop existing or innovative working methods or having them validated jointly.
Businesses that are interested in being added to the contact list can register on the VIP website.
Animation
The VIP survey (2022) among stakeholders in the asbestos removal sector revealed that many were unfamiliar with VIP validation and the added value of the validation process. The VIP wants to encourage businesses to submit requests for national validation. It has therefore prepared an animation to explain the validation process and its added value.

Then you do not have to demonstrate the safety of your working method for every assignment, project or inspection. Then it is explained what the VIP is and where you can find more information about the VIP.

Our validation procedure consists of 3 steps and is completely free of charge. In step one, you prepare a dossier about your working method.

Substantiate your safety claim with data from an exposure study. In step two, the independent experts of the VIP assess your dossier.
