VIP Advice

Expanding the application domain for a previously validated FiberCover working method

The Validation and Innovation Point for Asbestos (VIP) has issued positive advice to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) about expanding the application domain for the FiberCover® working method. It concerns an addition to the product groups ‘Asbestos cement wall and cladding panel’ and ‘Asbestos cement flat board’. HMB Milieutechniek wants to add the fixing methods ‘Cemented/glued with battens’ and ‘Clamped with battens and/or brackets’ to the application domain for these product groups.

The Ministry has asked Ascert (the manager of the Substances Manager Asbestos Risk Technology, or SMA-rt for short) to make this change in SMA-rt.
